In this video, Dr. Rahil Chaudhary explains the latest procedures for specs removal. If you have different types of power in each eye, you might wonder about your options for getting rid of your glasses.

Laser surgery is often used to remove specs for those with power ranging from -0.5D to -8D. There are different types of laser procedures available:

➡️Initially, the LASIK laser was quite popular.
➡️Later, the CONTOURA laser gained prominence.
➡️Then came the SiLK laser.
➡️Currently, the most advanced option is the Wavelight Plus InnovEyes Laser.

However, if your power is above -8D, lasers are ineffective because of their limitations. We use a different technology called ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) in such cases. ICL involves implanting a lens with your specific power inside your eye, effectively removing the need for glasses.

To summarize:

➡️Higher powers are corrected using ICL. The procedure is quick, with vision improvement noticeable by the next day, followed by a check-up. After taking a 3-4 day break, you can return to work.
