In todays Episode of Everyday Patio, we are going to show a fast look at how to install a patio cover attached to a Fascia Board, with a Four Seasons Skylight included. The key to fascia board installation is to mount as low on the existing fascia board as possible, as far for the drip edge of the roof as you can get it. This gives the gap between the drip edge and hanger, that is a crucial factor in Fascia Board installs. Second the Skylight, another beautiful piece of Engineering, but proper installation is even more crucial for any patio cover with a Skylight. Repair after improper installation is extremely hard. Make sure to fully lock the skylight into the other Elitewood Insulated panels, a soft hammer can help with this. Once the entire roof and gutter system is installed, seal every line on the top of the Patio Cover with a 1/4 bead of Nova Flex, smoothed with you hand or a damp rag. Then a 3/8 to 1/2 inch bead, smoothed with Flat Spatula or what I prefer to use is a piece of cardboard, bent to have a bulge in the center. Giving the 1/2 Bead of Nova Flex the ability to full seal over the 1/4 in. initial bead. If you have any questions about the install, please comment below. We would love to answer them.
