This is a quick test I always do with all my shipments of Adorable Amber to make sure I am buying genuine Baltic amber and not imitation amber.

To make sure you have enough to make it float be sure to use 2 parts water to 1 part salt. In this video I had 3 parts water and 1 part salt, and it still worked!

If you have imitation amber your jewelry will NOT float. If you have real Baltic amber your jewelry will float. If for some reason it does not float try adding a bit more salt to your water to see if it makes a difference. If it still doesn't float you most likely purchased an imitation piece.
