I hit the water with my good friend Keye Blackmon from Real of Life 423 for an after-work bumping trip on the Tennessee River. The goal was simple — to teach Keye the art of bumping for big blue catfish and maybe hook into a few monsters along the way.

Keye picked up the bumping technique fast, but the fish had other plans. The bite was slow, the current was tricky, but we managed to land one nice catfish and learned a few important lessons about reading the current, controlling the drift, and staying patient when the fish aren’t cooperating.

It was an evening full of good laughs, great fellowship, and hands-on learning about one of the most effective techniques in catfishing — bumping for blues.
