Hyper Universe is a game akin to LOL or Dota on a 2D plane. You choose your hero and can go top/mid or bottom row in the level. Each character plays differently. The UI reminds me of MVC and is bright and flashy. I wanted to show off the game as it recently went free to play on Steam.

No money is required up front but the game does require grinding to unlock all characters and Hypers. You are given a decent amount of money at the start though for just trying the game and completing the tutorial.

The newest multiplayer offering from Nexon, Hyper Universe is an unique take on the MOBA genre, combining side-scrolling games with everyone's favourite, frantic online genre. Players clash across maps with seven levels of mayhem (with more variants to come), fighting as hypers: Folks pulled into combat from all over the universe, including a tentacled admiral, rhinoceros-riding mongoose, and mages raining snowmen. Each hyper belongs to one of six character classes combining classic MOBA archetypes with new characters.

Anything goes in the fight towards victory, and the unique talents of each hyper are essential to overcome the other team - preferably by throwing everything you have at them, including the kitchen sink.
