Released at SIHH 2019, the HM6 represents a final production run of a model that will number only 100 pieces built over five years.

Launched in 2014, the MB&F Horological Machine 6 was dubbed "Space Pirate" after a favorite cartoon of brand CEO Max Busser. The stainless steel case of this extraordinary luxury watch includes 10 sapphire crystals and measures 49.5mm x 52.3mm x 20.4mm. The HM6's extravagant science fiction aesthetic was conceived by MB&F "friend" Eric Giroud, a superstar watch designer.

David Candaux and Jean Francois Mojon (Chronode) engineered the automatic movement. This flying tourbillon caliber boasts a power reserve of 3 days, beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour, and winds automatically via a blued platinum rotor in the form of MB&F's signature battle axe. Twin aluminum turbine displays are geared to the winding rotor to animate the top side of the watch case while winding takes place.

Time is read via scrolling hour and minute displays at the front of Horological Machine 6. The flying tourbillon with battle axe inspired tourbillon cage sits beneath a sapphire dome at center. A crown on the hour side of the watch opens and closes an oculus dome that covers the tourbillon on command. The opposite crown is used to set or manually wind the HM6 Space Pirate.

MB&F employs a Camile Fournet leather strap and a steel deployant clasp built by GF Chatelain, a Chanel company that also supplies clasps to Richard Mille.
