Ahead of Storm Ciaran the high tide at Christchurch Harbour in Dorset this morning saw many of the exclusive Mudeford beach huts far closer to the water than the owners might wish.

The huts, famous for being valued at hundreds of thousands of pounds, are normally the width of the beach track and the beach from the waters edge.

However today's high tide saw water lapping at the steps of the highly sought after properties.
