For one reason and another there hasn't been any traffic here for a while, right at the start of winter when all the weeds start to grow. Here we deal with the task of clearing the vegetation on the track to make the line passable again. Unfortunately the diesel electric loco normally used for this job is out of service at the moment, and the amount of plant juice on the rails makes using one of the electric motor cars inadvisable. So we resorted to the only other mode of traction able to get the job done, steam power!
