Government to block-book care home beds in bid to ease NHS pressures | 5 News

►In response to NHS pressures, Health Secretary has pledged to spend up to 200 million pounds to buy thousands of extra care home beds in England.

The idea is this will help speed up the discharge of hospital patients, to free up beds for new patients arriving.

But those on the frontline say this is just 'a drop in the ocean'.
