3D Model Siemens SGT-400 Series Gas Turbine

Siemens Germany has commissioned a 3D printed model of their SGT-400 series gas turbine as part of their partnership with 3YOURMIND. The 3D printed model rotates using an electronic motor built directly into the casing. The motor also switches to an automated double speed rotor, which makes the model even more accurate reflection of the original turbine. The movement and fine detail of the final model are “eye-catchers” that direct aid to describe the physical processes within the turbine and support their sales team.

The turbine is made of Aluminide, the casing is Polyamide - both were 3D printed using the SLS additive manufacturing technique and assembled by the 3YOURMIND team.
