Apache TinkerPop™ is a graph computing framework for graph systems and the home of the Gremlin graph traversal language. TinkerPop Wide streams offer an opportunity to hear from the wider community on their experiences with TinkerPop or graphs in their building of libraries, tools, graph systems or other applications.

For this session: Databases have many tricks up their sleeves these days, but one thing very few of them can achieve is going back in time. ChronoGraph, an open-source TinkerPop-3-compliant embedded graph database, not only allows Gremlin queries to be executed on any past version of your graph, it can also retrieve the history of every vertex and every edge. Furthermore, you can create Branches, a feature known from version control systems such as git, to create "what if" scenarios on your data with ease. In this talk, the author of ChronoGraph, Martin Häusler, will showcase the features and some of the key implementation considerations that make this clockwork tick.
