'Exploring The Remains Of Hitler's Siegfried Line In Hürtgen Forest'

War historian James Rogers heads to the Hürtgen Forest on the border between Belgium and Germany to explore the remains of the Siegfried Line.

Known in German as the Westwall, it was a German defensive line built on the orders of Hitler during the 1930s, opposite the French Maginot Line. The defence system stretched more than 630 km (390 miles) with more than 18,000 bunkers, tunnels and tank traps.

Exclusively for the History Hit YouTube channel, James trekked through Hürtgen Forest to look at the 'dragon's teeth' and ruined bunkers that remain to this day.
