What is ownership verification?
Ownership verification means proving to Google Search Console that you own a specific website. A verified owner has the highest degree of permissions in Search Console.

Easiest options to verify your website are HTML file upload, or HTML meta tag option.

HTML file upload: goes to your website root directory (usually web hosting, file manager, public_html)

HTML meta tag: you add this to your website theme (place it within HTML head section)
