Controversies in Dementia Research | Webinar

Ronald Petersen, MD, PhD, director of the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging, joined American Brain Foundation Executive Director Jane Ransom for an insightful conversation around the controversies of the new generation of Alzheimer’s drugs. They discussed whether or not these new drugs are safe and effective, the state of dementia research today, and what the future may hold for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Audience members had a chance to ask questions related to phototherapy as a treatment for Alzheimer’s and other dementias, how to handle family members’ dismissiveness of lingering brain injury effects, and more.
