Children's Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment (CRWIA) Workshop - October 2023

The session was delivered on the 4th October 2023, and led by Ceri Hunter of Scottish Government's Rights & Participation team, will focus on Child Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessments in Scotland in a Third Sector Context.

The session included opportunities to hear, and share experiences with peers from others in implementing UNCRC and CRWIA within their organisations. We heard from respected third sector leaders:- Emma Whitelock (LEAD Scotland); Irene Audain (Scottish Out of School Care Network); Lorna Gibson (Carers Trust)

This session aimed to:
- Increase awareness and understanding of the role and work of the Rights and Participation Team within Scottish Government
- Increase knowledge and understanding of the Child Rights and Wellbeing -Impact Assessment process
- Develop understanding of how the Child Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment could be applied in your organisation/in the context of your work
- Highlight sources of support, guidance and examples that are available
