Quake 2 N64 is...not my favorite game in the ID Software library by any means, but it sure is a magnificent demonstration of the Nintendo 64's hardware capabilities. With the expansion pak, it might just be the best-looking game on the console. This, however, comes at the cost of the framerate, which can dip into the single-digits in places like the beginning of "Docking Station". Amusingly, not only is Quake 2 one of the ONLY games on N64 not to use the hideous VI Blur effect, but there isn't even an option to toggle it like Quake 64 had. If only there was a way to turn off the 3-point filtering...
