Key Precautions after Eye Injections Used for Retina Treatments

Before the injection, basic hygiene practices are mandatory, and there are no major specific precautions. However, after the injection, the patient is advised to wear a normal eye patch for 2 hours and use prescribed antibiotic drops for 3 days. The injection is administered in an operation theatre under full precautions to minimize any risks.
After the injection, the patient should avoid rubbing their eye and refrain from direct exposure to splashing water for 1 or 2 days. Otherwise, there are no significant restrictions, and the patient can resume their routine activities from the next day onwards.
