Ableton Live Drum Map tutorial (Getgood Drums in Ableton Live)

Описание к видео Ableton Live Drum Map tutorial (Getgood Drums in Ableton Live)

Ableton Live Drum Maps are possible. The Drum Rack in Ableton Live 9 is designed with EDM in mind. That is, the way an EDM producer would approach drums, adding samples to pads, which are usually one-shot samples. However, if you're approaching it from the perspective of a real drummer on a real drum kit, with plugins such as Getgood Drums or Superior Drummer, the Drum Rack isn't appropriate. This creates a problem, because the midi editor in Ableton Live is mapped to show the keyboard keys only. I don't know about you, but I can't remember if C1 or D#-1 is my kick drum, nor which key from B2-F#3 is the exact hi hat articulation I want. What I need is a drum map, much like you can easily create in Cubase. There is a way to do this in Ableton, its a bit clunky but once its done, you can save it for future recall.

In this video I'm using Getgood Drums Invasion through the free Kontakt player.
