One on One with DRC's President Joseph Kabila

After 18 years, the Democratic Republic of Congo is set to have a new President as Joseph Kabila prepares to hand over power following Sunday’s presidential election.

The long awaited election has not been without its fair share of challenges having been postponing by a week just days to what was to be the original December 23 election date.

While the opposition has read mischief and continues to clamour for a guarantee of free and fair elections, President Kabila cuts the figure of a man also eagerly awaiting the election result.

In a one on one interview with CGTN’s Chris Ocamringa, President Kabila gives his thoughts on the upcoming election and talks of his time in office, looking back at what he terms as his key achievement, uniting the vast country.
