Shibata brother and sisters have begun to play Tsugaru Shamisen since 2002.
With 3 shamisens they express themselves in a creative way and their tunes are very original.
They challenged all-Japan shamisen competition and won the championship 40 times in total,in individual competition as well as in group competition.
Especially, in Tsugaru Shamisen All Japan Competition Kanagi meeting ,Shibata brother and sisters won the championship 5 straight victories in group competition.
This is an unprecedented record which no one has reached before.
The tone of Tsugaru Shamisen that is only created by Shibata brother and sisters cannot help engaging people's hearts and minds.
