In Guardians of the Endangered we will investigate the idea that not all animals and environments are thriving, and that our daily actions make us guardians for all animals.

Students are introduced to threatening issues facing Australian wildlife to understand how and why these processes are taking place before exploring some simple actions they can take in their own lives to help.

In this session we will explore the threat of illegal wildlife smuggling and meet an animal that has been impacted by this threat. 🦎💰

By the end of this series students will be able to:
🌱 Identify unsustainable human activities that threaten wildlife
🌱 Discuss how threats to wildlife can affect the growth and survival of all living things
🌱 Identify ways in which humans can create a positive impact on wildlife and environments

2) Are there any things that you think you and your family could perhaps do a little better? Are there any ways in which you would like to become an even better Guardian?
3) Can you think of any threats that were NOT discussed in this series?
4) Pick one or more threats that we did not discuss. Think about the “How?” and “Why?” behind the issue, and brainstorm some ways in which you can help in your own daily life.
