In November 2024, St. Charles County Ambulance District received an OLGA Award for Exemplary Collaboration, Partnership, or Regional Initiative from the East West Gateway Council of Governments. The honor was presented in recognition of the the District's development and execution of the Paramedic Exploration Academy - a five-week authentic learning opportunity for students in grades 10-12 to enhance their understanding of EMS careers and the education path required to enter the field.
