Walking Tour in the beautiful island of Corfu 🇬🇷 - Paleokastritsa Monastery and Old Town 4K 60 fps

CORFU (KERKYRA) - Greece (December 2024)

We visited one of the most fantastic islands in Greece located in the Ionian Sea, between Italy and Albania. With stunning landscapes, beautiful beaches and monuments that have been part of the rich history since the beginning of humanity.
We left the MSC Sinfonia ship and got on a bus towards the Monastery of Paleokastritsa where we also visited a small church inside this Temple and saw some Monks passing by... Then we enjoyed the views from the Monastery, where it was possible to see some isolated islands with no inhabitants.
Soon after, we headed towards the historic center of Corfu, leaving and walking in Spianada Square and then taking a walk through the narrow, well-organized streets of the historic area towards the end of the afternoon. We finally managed to see the Old Fortress from the outside, already at night before returning to the port of Corfu and heading back.

The island is bound up with the history of Greece from the beginnings of Greek mythology, and is marked by numerous battles and conquests. Ancient Korkyra took part in the Battle of Sybota which was a catalyst for the Peloponnesian War, and, according to Thucydides, the largest naval battle between Greek city states until that time.

Old Town (Downtown)
Outside of the Old Fortress

And once again Mariana didn't behave well, making Mommy's head spin again!!!
