SJB member Hirunika today exposed a video of Ashu, allegedly showing him sexually abusing a dog

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) member Hirunika Premachandra created a storm today by exposing videos and images of Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, former advisor to President Ranil Wickremesinghe, allegedly sexually abusing a dog.
The video was captured by former ‘Aragalaya’ activist and Marasinghe’s ex-lover Adarshaa Karadana.
Karadana claimed she secretly recorded the incident in their bedroom after raising suspicion on the behaviour of her pet dog.
The woman said that she lived with Marasinghe for a couple of years but allegedly faced abuse during the latter part of her relationship.
She said she got disgusted after videos she secretly recorded showed him abusing her pet dog.
Karadana, who was often seen with Marasinghe at Gall Face during the ‘Aragalaya’ protests, demanded justice for her dog.
Marasinghe resigned earlier today from the post of Advisor to the President citing personal reasons, just minutes before his former lover and Premachandra addressed the media.
Karadana funded a tent placed at Galle Face during the protests but often stayed at the Kingsbury Hotel at the time. (Easwaran Rutnam)
