What music promoters claim to be “Europe’s greatest soul, funk and jazz party since 2008”, is making its debut in Portugal in September. In search of an exclusive location in the Algarve for this exceptional festival, Smooth Entertainment have partnered with VILA VITA Parc. With stunning views of the Atlantic ocean, the cliff top resort will welcome some of the biggest and most successful international stars of the contemporary and smooth jazz scene.

The festival is part of a four day event which aims to bring together the finer things in life: good food, wine, weather and music all in a magical location. The first Portuguese edition of the popular festival, which takes place from September 29 to October 2, will welcome jazz lovers from all over the world.

With two other festivals taking place in 2016 – Mallorca, Spain in the spring and Augsburg, Germany at the end of the year - this will be the music promoter’s third annual event in a new European destination.

Ten artists, that altogether scored 15 No.1 hits and 27 Top 5 albums at the US Billboard jazz charts, will entertain guests over the course of the long weekend, which will guarantee first-class entertainment and plenty of emotion. The spectacular line up includes two-time Grammy winner saxophonist Eric Marienthal; pianist and composer David Benoit (known as one of the fathers of Contemporary Jazz); awarded guitarists Peter White and Matt Marshak; Rick Braun and his funky trumpet repertoire; saxophonists Vincent Ingala and Will Donato; jazz singer Sara Gazarek; American bass player Michael Manson and the very talented flute player Althea René.
