The 2003 Gibson Custom Firebird was built to commemorate the 2001 fire that struck the Gibson factory in Bozeman, Montana. This particular Gibson was custom built. Usually the Firebird Custom has a Cherry Red back and sides, but the previous owner chose to have it finished in Antique Natural. So truly unique!

This Gibson has a Spruce top and absolutely beautiful quilted Maple back and sides. The quilted Maple is top quality and rivals the best you can find. The tortoise pickguard with engraved Firebird stands out nicely on this Natural finished Gibson. The Ebony bridge also has inlays in the theme, there is a small hairline crack in the paint near the bridge, as shown in the photo, not a crack.

The neck is made of figured Maple and the Ebony fretboard is decorated with luxurious flames of mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays. On the headstock we find an inlay of a Firebird and the original gold Gibson tuners.

Comes with the papers and the Gibson Historic Case and paperwork. The previous owner forgot the code for the case, so the lock is not functional.
