I WOULD STAY AWAY! I located a car I was interested in and called available phone number - no answer. I was contacted back at a later time by the owner or owner rep only to have him express that he was not interested in negotiation; moreover, that viewing was by appointment only (the website states otherwise). I was agreeable to that because I thought the price looked fair so I mentioned some times during the day in which I would be available. He proceeds to tell that that I needed an appointment. I stated that that was the intention but indirectly it was his play to tell me that unless I was ready to purchase that day, based on only the photos online and his good word that he was not interested making an appointment.
I proceed to mention to him that physical inspection has been a standard by which buyer engage with for years and stated that I was serious but more discovery was needed. He kept stating that that was not how his business worked and that if I couldn't deal with that approach then he didn't need my business - he then hung up on me.
I find it sad that in 2013 auto brokers have adopted such an obnoxious approach to doing business. This guy really wanted no risk of time loss for physical inspection. He wanted me to hand over 21,000 dollars based on his Craigslist ad? Really? Shame on him!
I called Fisher Honda. They offered me a comparable vehicle, lower price, lower miles, let me come in without appointment and take the car for a half a day joy ride. TO TOP IT OFF - ITS HONDA CERTIFIED! Peak Auto Brokers should look at the competition. I think their sales model is based on the uneducated buyer who is easily bullied by silly tricks. I would hate to experience his customer service desk if this is his best sales experience. BUYERS BEWARE! - Thank you for nothing.
