The Equalizer fly pattern is meant for smallmouth and largemouth bass and is an impressionistic pattern that can imitate a dozen different prey items. It does well on reds as well with a slightly different tie and a stronger hook. The fly is meant to be retrieved with sharp jerks and pauses and will jump on the pull. Give it a try!
