This song captures a window of time after the exodus from Egypt, when the Israelites were wandering in the desert for 40 years. Moses is talking to God about the people being so rebellious, and asking Him for the strength to continue.
The wildlife was filmed in Israel. Of particular interest: the millipede was filmed as it walked in virtual darkness at the bottom of a water cistern at Tel Meggido; and the kestrel as it was hovering above the dried-up brook next to the northern hill of the Elah Valley (around 33km SE of Jerusalem). This is where David encamped with King Saul’s army. Goliath and the Philistine army were encamped on the southern hill.
The landscapes were filmed at Qumran by the Dead Sea and in the Negev desert, Israel.

LYRICS:
Oh my LORD, how much longer must we roam this desert
Oh my LORD, thirty years without a home
Oh my LORD, how much longer must we walk this sand
Whatever happened to the promise of the golden land
There's a road down there
But sometimes it's so hard see the way
It's been a long, long time
The people moan, they ask...what can I say...
And they keep knocking on my tent
These thoughts keep swirling round my head all night long
And they keep knocking on my tent
These thoughts keep swirling round my head all night
All night long, they just wear me out, the same old song
All night long, they just murmur and complain
All night long, I just try and keep my eyes on You LORD
All night long, until the morning dew comes down
Oh my LORD, how much longer must we roam this desert
Oh my LORD, thirty years without a home
Oh my LORD, how much longer must we walk this sand
Whatever happened to the promise of the golden land
You gave Your bread from heaven
Water from a solid rock
But still the people moan
How long they ask, but what can I say...
And they keep knocking on my tent
These thoughts keep swirling round my head all night long
And they keep knocking on my tent
These thoughts keep swirling round my head all night
Oh my LORD, I just want to praise Your holy Name
Oh my LORD, You're the One who set me free
Oh my LORD, I just want to keep my eyes on You LORD
O my LORD, come pour Your Spirit down on me!
