Last week a plane carrying over a hundred Palestinians touched down on South African soil where 130 were granted humanitarian support. A refugee success story? Except for two strange things:

South Africa didn’t know they were coming.

And their passports had no exit stamps to mark the place they were leaving behind.

The mystery plane now at the heart of an international media storm is just one of several charter flights to have carried hundreds of Palestinians from Ramon Airport in Israel to destinations around the world.
