From the first regular one-hour episode, this is the 30-second Pre-Title Teaser Trailer from 'Ancient Eyes' (#1.03). This, and to an extent, the teaser trailer for the 2nd Season episode 'Cry Wolf' have the distinction of featuring dialouge from their respective episodes, as opposed to the usual music and (occassionally sound-effects) editing.

This was not only writer Herb Wright's first script for the series, but his inaugural episode as producer. He would stay with the show for the 1st Season only, before transferring to the writing staff of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" as a co-producer.

Director Charles Picerni, an accomplished and long-serving Hollywood stuntman, was Paul Michael Glaser's stunt double in the latter's classic 1970's crime drama "Starsky and Hutch", in addition to being the show's Stunt Coordinator, and directing 2 episodes. He went on to serve as either 2nd Unit Director, Stunt Coordinator/Stunt Performer or Episode Director on a number of popular U.S. television series of the 70's and 80's, as well as box office hit movies, including "Die Hard", "Die Hard 2", and "Lethal Weapon 3".

"STINGRAY" was an action/crime drama/detective series, that ran from 1985 to 1987, on NBC in the United States, then later in the UK on the leading satellite and cable channel SKY One. The show starred Nick Mancuso (of "Under Siege" and "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory" fame), and was created by Stephen J. Cannell (of "The A-Team" and "The Rockford Files").
