In July, representatives from neighborhood organizations throughout Davidson County will be meeting for the second Neighborhood Leadership Forum since the pandemic. During our time together, we will be discussing, "How can the Mayor's Office of Neighborhoods be best organized, under the next mayoral administration, to support local neighborhoods and neighborhood organizations?"

In preparation for this meeting, N2N's Jim Hawk and Hwesi Zanu sat down virtually with Former Mayor Bill Purcell and Davidson County Clerk Brenda Wynn to discuss the office, which was established on the first day of then Mayor Purcell's administration. Brenda Wynn was appointed the first Director of the Mayor's Office of Neighborhoods.
