Cinema Sixteen Inc. officially started business in 1970 but before that we were shooting Canadian steam train excursions operating on Ontario’s mainline tracks.
A trip on the steamboat “Delta Queen” in 1967 was an occasion to capture the story of a boat with a long history that was drawing to a close
due to regulatory constraints. This 14 minute film was shot with a 16mm Bolex film camera.
The voice was Carol Ann Thomson who also shot location sound. The sole market was our local Burlington, Ontario Cable TV station.
Recently, we dusted off an original release print and ran it through a telecine produce this digital version.
Still capable of operation, the Delta Queen patiently waits for an exemption from Congress that would allow her to once again carry overnight passengers.
