Today we are at Andorra, to be specific in Andorra la Vella. It is the sixth smallest nation in Europe. This small country nestles in the Pyrennes between France and Spain. The only way to reach there is by road only. We took a bus from Barcelona airport to reach there. Andorra la Vella is its capital. It is a principality and is currently headed by two co-princes: the Bishop of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain, and the president of France. The official language is Catalan, even though Spanish, French, Portugues and English are also spoken.

While roaming around the city two things really struck us, one there were a lot of pharmacies and perfume stores. The other was more shocking. There were lots of stores selling guns and other deadly weapons. Upon researching a bit we found out that They hardly have an army except some ceremonial positions. However, all able-bodied men are technically available for military service, with a requirement for each family to have access to a firearm. An area weapon, such as a shotgun per household, is unregulated; however, ranged weapons, such as pistols and rifles, require a license. Fun fact, Andorra hasnt fought a war in the last 700 years.

The main income of Andorra comes from its ski resorts and the banking sector contributes a lot thanks to its tax haven status. Even though Andorra is not part of Euro, their official currency is Euro.
