About Lepers in the Bible:
In the Bible, lepers are individuals afflicted with leprosy, a chronic skin disease that rendered them ceremonially unclean under the Mosaic Law (Leviticus 13-14). This condition was not only a physical ailment but also carried significant social and spiritual stigma. Lepers were often isolated from their communities to prevent the spread of disease and to maintain ritual purity.
In the Gospels, Jesus demonstrates compassion and divine authority by healing lepers, a notable example being the cleansing of the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19. This healing not only restored their physical health but also reinstated their place in society and their ability to worship in the temple.

Luke 17:12-19
The healing of ten lepers by Jesus, where only one returned to give thanks. “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?”
Mark 1:40-42
“And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, ‘If you will, you can make me clean.’ Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, ‘I will; be clean.’”

“And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.”
