(28 Oct 2016) A group of migrants who slept overnight in a makeshift school in the Calais migrant camp were processed by authorities and boarded buses to other French cities on Friday.
They had missed the cut-off period for the official registration period on Wednesday evening, forcing them to stay in the camp, known as "the Jungle".
French authorities registered the remaining migrants on Friday, many of them minors, and arranged buses for them to leave the camp.
Fifty minors were boarded on a bus bound for the French city of Rouen, while 48 adults were taken to the French city of Toulouse.
Bulldozers have been demolishing what was left of the Calais camp, after it was partially destroyed by fires.
Aid workers had scrambled to find a housing solution on Thursday evening and eventually accommodated them in what was left of the makeshift school.
