An installment in 20-part series produced by KING-TV highlighting various aspects of Century 21, Seattle World's Fair. Hosted by KING-TV's Bill Neilson. Directed by Carroll Ellerbe. The two-part segment on the Pacific Science Center (referred to as the "United States Science Pavilion") originally aired on Channel 5 on May 14, 1962 (part 1) and June 4, 1962 (part 2). Interviews include Dr. Athelstan Spilhaus (Commissioner, US Science Pavilion), Harold Mansfield (director of the Boeing Spacearium World's Fair exhibit and special assistant to the President of Boeing) , Judy Hanson (Science Demonstrator), Dr. Bidler (Coordinator of the US Science Exhibit) and Leonard Netercorn (Design Coordinator for the US Science Exhibit). The Pacific Science Center was originally designed by Minoru Yanaski and Craig Colgate, Jr.. Includes footage of construction of the movie theaters (shot 2 weeks before the opening of the Seattle World's Fair), including: - "The House of Science" which featured footage of scientists working and described recent scientific discoveries and projects - the "Boeing Spacearium," a planetarium theater, which at the time was the largest movie screen in the world and for which the first spherical-type 160 degree ultra-wide angle projection lens was created as a collaboration between the Boeing Company, the City of Seattle, Cinerama, and Fairchild Camera & Instrument Corporation to film and project "Journey Through the Stars" which depicted a theorized version of a "ride through space" - the Science Theater, which at the time hosted the largest collection of science films Footage also includes interior shots of the science exhibits, including a pigeon conditioning exhibit, Junior Laboratory Science, Methods of Science, and Horizons of Science.

Part of a compilation videotape of footage transferred from 16mm film of Century 21, the Seattle World's Fair. Film titles include "World of Tomorrow--Science Center" and "World of Tomorrow--Monorail." SMA does not currently have a copy of the second part of this program.
