Sometimes they added guitars, changed sounds, or rebuilt parts, but everything was designed to support the vocal, not bury it. Linkin Park created every sound from scratch, shaping the music to match the emotion.

Chester explains that when the band starts with loud tracks first, it’s easy to chase the heavy stuff — like a dog chasing a squirrel. But this time, the voice came first. The feeling came first. And that changed everything.
