Caitlin Stubbs is a singer and songwriter from Brighton, England. Her songs range from themes of the beautiful naïvety and often destructive hedonism of early adulthood to stories about love, mental health, sex and jealousy.

Her songs inhabit a crossroads between the ethereal storytelling of folk/blues and the introspective side of pop. Think Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and Father John Misty.

She sometimes performs the songs/poems of her grandfather, the late Adrian Mitchell; a poet, novelist and playwright whose fierce tenderness, hatred of war and love for human kind fuelled much of his work.

Caitlin has played at venues throughout the UK including the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, the Brighton Pavilion Theatre, Bush Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.

She has supported prestigious folk artists such as Marika Hackman and Julie Felix (“Britain’s first lady of folk” – The Times). Caitlin supported Sarah Lee Guthrie (granddaughter of Woody Guthrie) in Brighton where the two performed a duet of a song that Caitlin’s grandfather had written with Arlo Guthrie, Sarah Lee’s father.
