This message followed our Annual Sunday School Christmas Program. Using Luke 2:16 as his text, Pastor Luke emphasizes that Christmas is about the Lord Jesus Christ (0:53-0:58) and questions who the baby in the manger truly is (1:37-1:40).

The Identity of Jesus: Jesus is presented as God, the Son, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ (1:46-1:52). Pastor Luke references Isaiah 7:14, stating that Jesus's name is Emmanuel, meaning "God with us" (2:03-2:08). He also lists other names for Jesus from Isaiah 9:6, such as Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace (2:12-2:24).

Jesus's Eternal Nature: Pastor Luke highlights that Jesus did not come into existence when he was conceived (2:34-2:38); He is the eternal God who "always has been. He was. He is. He is to come" (2:41-2:48). He emphasizes that by Him all things were created (3:11-3:13).

The Condescension of Christ: Pastor Luke discusses the "stoop" or "condescension" of Jesus (3:34-3:37), referring to Philippians chapter 2, where Jesus, though being God, made himself of no reputation and took on the form of a servant (4:00-4:20).

The Purpose of Jesus's Coming: The core message is that Jesus came into the world to be our savior (6:36-6:38). Referencing Matthew 1:21, he states, "Thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins" (6:50-6:56). Pastor Luke explains that humanity needs a savior because all have sinned (7:17-7:26) and that a sinless man was required to die for sinful men (8:46-8:51). Jesus, being sinless (9:32-9:37), paid the penalty for our sins (9:55-9:58).

Call to Salvation: The sermon concludes with an invitation to accept Jesus Christ as one's savior, emphasizing that "Today is the day of salvation" (11:16-11:22).
