The deployment of law enforcement forces has been intensified to complete the smooth conduct of the elections.

3 platoon BGB, 3 RAB teams, 12 executive magistrates and 1 chief judicial magistrate will be deployed in 21 polling stations of Thakurgaon municipality. Besides, 4 police and Ansar members have been deployed for each center.

There will be 1 platoon BGB, 3 RAB teams, 9 executive magistrates and police and Ansar members in 9 centers of Ranishankail municipality.

The Thakurgaon administration has made all kinds of preparations for a fair and peaceful vote. For the first time, EVM voting will be held in Thakurgaon Sadar Municipality. voting in Ranishankail will be done through ballot papers.

District Election Officer Jilhaj Uddin has claimed that the election will be held in a very beautiful manner in two municipalities of Thakurgaon district.

The total number of voters in Thakurgaon municipality is 60,824. There are 3 candidates for mayor, 9 candidates for reserved seats and 59 candidates for general members.

Besides, the total number of voters in Ranishankail municipality is 14,520. There are 12 candidates for mayor, 13 for reserved seats and 33 for general members.
