The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) showcased the formidable 'Typhoon' vehicle at its Transport Battalion in Chandigarh. This significant event, attended by officials from Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, highlights the modernization of ITBP's fleet.

Designed for troop and cargo transport, the Typhoon-K also supports various technical systems and weapons.

Available in both 6x6 and 4x4 configurations, offering excellent mobility, protection, and firepower.

Equipped with powerful diesel engines and advanced automatic transmissions, it can tackle rugged terrains and water bodies with ease.

The hydropneumatic suspension system ensures a smooth ride, adapting to different terrains.

Built to offer superior protection against mines and ballistic threats, the vehicle features special seats and advanced armor to protect the crew and troops from explosions.

The Typhoon vehicle will be locally produced by Vehicle Factory Jabalpur under license from the Russian company KAMAZ. This move not only strengthens the 'Make in India' initiative but also ensures a steady supply of these crucial vehicles for the ITBP.

The induction of the Typhoon into the ITBP fleet underscores the force's commitment to operational efficiency and personnel safety, equipping them to handle challenging duties with enhanced confidence and capability.
