Covid-19 Detection using Deep Learning Algorithms

Today the pandemic COVID-19, has resulted across the world which is called as which infected millions of people. It is producing a massive outbreak in over 150 nations around the world, with serious health consequences. As a result, to diagnose 20 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, named as SARS CoV-2, which is responsible for coronavirus disease is crucial for both patients and doctors. In the nations where the laboratory kits are unavailable for testing, it is becoming even more critical. So, in order to detect COVID- 19 disease we have investigated a model that is built based on image processing and deep learning techniques. A COVID-19 infection can progress to pneumonia, which can be identified with a chest X-ray exam and treated according to that. As, the number of COVID-19 victims are increasing day by day this needs to be done very quickly. Here, we created a model with X-rays. The chest Computed Tomography (CT) COVID-19 images are collected first, and then the dataset [1] is loaded. We present point processing approaches, apply Image Augmentation, and then use CT scans to determine COVID-19 positivity or negativity (chest x-ray images). Image processing and deep learning approaches and implementations are used to achieve this.
