happier than ever | what is a family? | Abusive Parents | Kdrama Multifandom

I've been editing this video for the past three months. For some reason I was never able to post it. Not due to any technical issues, its just I was hesitant myself. I thought if I posted it, I would somehow be exposing myself. Its all part of healing ig.

Parental Abuse; whether it be physical or verbal; it is the most worse experience a child can go through. I went through both of them and let me tell you something, it changed my life, the way perceive the world, how I make my decisions, damaged my sense of self-worth, eroded their ability to form healthy relationships and most importantly I lost trust in people.

The one place I was supposed to feel safe and be supported in, became my personalized hell. From countless days of crying myself to sleep to SH myself to not feel numb and to almost killing myself because death seemed welcoming, I've come a long way. All I've done is survive and sometimes I just want to live.

Even after everything, I don't hate my parents. It is because I love them, I cannot hate them. It was their first time being parents too and they f*cked up bad.

If you are also going through abuse, do not ever think that you are alone. Though you may not have people to support there is something which could help. It is Hope. Never lose it. One or someday you will escape the cycle of abuse. But till then you must hold on to hope bcuz thats all you got.

One has learned to embrace their past and use it as a source of strength. Eventually you will find peace and healing through forgiveness and self-love, showing that it is possible to thrive after surviving such a traumatic experience. Though the scars may never fully heal, the resilience and courage of parental abuse survivors is truly inspiring is it not?

I hope you can smile happily one day
I know it's easier said than done, but I know I will be happier one day.
