Three scenes from a life - original acoustic guitar song

This effort to convey something about it all puts poetry to music which is always fraught with peril as pretension, obfuscation and tedium vie with each other to dominate. I tried to avoid the deepest depths of these pitfalls by keeping the three scenes really short with a different mood and tune for each but linked. Mmm…but see what you think.

I played it on a parlour guitar in open g# minor. The first tune is not knowingly borrowed from anyone but is so simple that it probably is. The second was inspired by ZZ Top’s Blue Jean Blues, but sounds rather different. The third uses the chord sequence from Autumn Leaves.

The artwork, you’ll be surprised to learn, is not by David Hockney, but by me finger painting on an iPad.
