Are you looking for how to install GRUB theme in Kali Linux too? This tutorial should be your answer. The installer use general shell script, so it should work on most Linux Distro. Though, I have never tried to install it on Kali Linux.

With this installer script, we change grub theme on Arch Linux, Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint or Kali Linux without need to uninstall each theme first. You can "switch" or change GRUB theme by running the installer again and select another theme. The script will do the rest.
