Punjab Bandh: Farm Protests Lead To Traffic Disruption, Road Blocks | 221 Trains Hit, Airfares Soar

Farmers across Punjab are staging widespread road and rail blockades on Monday as part of a state-wide bandh, paralysing commuter and freight movement. The shutdown, to be observed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., was called by Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha to press the central government to meet their demands, including a legal guarantee for a minimum support price (MSP) for crops.
