Wednesday's extended Cleveland weather forecast: Preparing for upcoming winter storm

3News' Payton Domschke takes a look at the upcoming Cleveland weather forecast ahead of a winter storm during Christmas weekend.

If you liked yesterday's weather, you'll like today. High temperatures will be back in the upper 30s and we'll even see some sunshine, too. It won't last too long though...

Clouds thicken up tonight and they'll be with us tomorrow morning, too. The bulk of your Thursday won't be too crazy either. Highs will actually jump into the low-40s, but rain chances start to increase through the afternoon. So, yes, this rain change to the forecast is the start so to speak of the winter weather event that will unfold.

The newest thing as of this morning is the issuance of a Winter Storm Watch for part of Northeast Ohio. These start late tomorrow and take us through the majority of your holiday weekend.
