North Georgia Bikepacking | Bike Camping in GA

Follow along as I navigate through the Chattahoochee National Forest on a one-night solo bikepacking trip. I ended up leaving the video in its raw audio format to not ruin the video.

The Trip:
This was my first solo bikepacking trip. I rode from the Jake Mountain Parking Lot to Three Forks USFS 58 4.3*where the AT and the Benton MacKaye join and cross the forest service road. It is roughly 20 miles and over 2.5K feet of climbing there and back.

Day 1:
Left the Jake Mtn parking lot around 2pm.
Took the Jake/Bull Connector Trail to FSR 28-1.
From 28-1 I took FSR 77 (Winding Stair Gap Road).
At the top, I took FSR 58*the middle road. There are four roads; Left is Springer Mtn, the other leads you to an old homestead, the third from the left is FSR 58, the far right is FSR 42 (towards Coopers Gap Rd).
Once I passed the AT crossing, I settled on one of the designated campsites near Chester Creek.

Day 2:
Headed back the same way as the day before. Left camp around 8-830am and made it to the top of the Winding Stair Gap Rd by 930ish and back to the car around 11am.
