STORYLINE:
Prince William braved heavy rain on Tuesday as he hosted the Buckingham Palace summer garden party on behalf of his father, King Charles.

William hosted the party alongside other young royals including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, plus Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara Tindall.

Footage showed William chatting with guests and receiving gifts such as books and cookies.

William returned to public duties last month after his wife’s cancer diagnosis.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has been largely absent from the public stage since January due to health problems.
